Special Enrollment for Nevadans enrolled through Benefytt Technologies:
- A settlement was finalized involving a company known as Benefytt Technologies. The company was found to be fraudulently marketing and selling ACA healthcare products. Nevada Health Link will be reaching out to individuals impacted by Benefytt Technologies and offering a Special Enrollment Period (SEP) to enroll in Marketplace coverage if eligible from September 6th to November 10th, 2022.
Upcoming Consumer Notices -Targeted Messaging for Financial Information Consent (9/8/2022):
- Nevada Health Link is preparing for OEP and Automatic-Renewals and is best informing consumers of steps they can take to ensure the smoothest possible auto-renewal.
- Some auto-renewal eligible consumers have either exhausted their consent for NVHL to check Federal Tax Information (FTI) and thus cannot be renewed with subsidies, without consumer action. This pool of consumers will be sent a notification, specifically informing them of the need to update their FTI consent by contacting their agent of record or following the steps on the notice.
- Having updated consumer consent prior to the auto-renewal processing will decrease the number of consumers renewed into full price plans, due to lack of consent.
Recent Notices – Pre-Renewal Notices to All Active Enrollees (9/1/2022):
- On 9/1/2022 Pre-Renewal notices were sent to all currently eligible auto-renewal consumers, informing them that verifying application information will ensure that up-to-date information is used during the auto renewal process in October. Having updated information will improve auto-renewal eligibility determinations and reduce the risk of determination errors. Hopefully saving time during OEP, by getting the best possible eligibility results through auto-renewal.
