Dear Valued Agent/Broker Partners and Navigators,
Adding and Subtracting Household Members:
We wanted to remind you about adding and subtracting household members. If a consumer either leaves a household or joins a household, the proper way to add them without causing negative impacts and disruptions is to delete said member from the household in the application or add a new member in the application. While member information can be altered on a current member to replace the prior member with a new household member’s information, this causes a problem regarding back-end member tracking, enrollments, and member identification. Whenever a member leaves a household, that member should be deleted from the member’s tab in the application and any new member should be added. The process should never overwrite an old member’s information in the application.
ACCESS CODES FOR MEDICAID ACCOUNT TRANSFERS:
Consumers who are losing Medicaid due to the PHE unwinding may receive a notification from Nevada Health Link stating that DWSS has transferred their application to Nevada Health Link. This notice includes an Access Code that allows the consumer to claim their Nevada Health Link account and access the application transferred over from Medicaid. This is the easiest way for consumers to obtain coverage through Nevada Health Link without having to provide loss of Medicaid documentation. Please see example of the notice below:
